  • And the Get on the Shelf finalists are . . .

    SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Walmart has revealed the 10 finalists that have been selected after the first round of public voting for its Get on the Shelf contest. According to the company, more than 4,000 inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses from across the country submitted products into the contest and more than one million votes were cast in a tight race where the American public voted for items they would like to see carried by Walmart.

  • Food Lion launches Hunger Has a Cure Campaign

    SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion has launched its Hunger Has a Cure Campaign to support Feeding America's network of local food banks. The two-week campaign, which allows customers to donate in $1 or $3 increments at the register, runs through April 17. Customers may also donate any other amount of their choice.

  • Saks Off Fifth to anchor two new outlet centers

    Indianapolis -- Mall owner Simon Property Group said Tuesday that Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th will anchor the company’s two new centers in development in its Premium Outlets division: Phoenix Premium Outlets and St. Louis Premium Outlets.

    Phoenix Premium Outlets in Chandler, Ariz., is currently under construction with a spring 2013 opening planned. Phase 1 of the center will be comprised of 360,000 sq. ft. housing approximately 90 outlet stores featuring high-quality designer and name brands.

    NEW YORK — Francisco Costa, who serves as women's creative director for Calvin Klein Collection will design a limited edition capsule dress line exclusively for Macy's.

    According to Macy's, this is the first time Costa has designed a more affordable dress offering for a national retailer.
