  • Polaroid Fotobar, The Linq, Las Vegas

    Polaroid Fotobar has opened a flagship at The Linq, a new, pedestrian-friendly shopping street in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The two-level, 8,500-sq.-ft. space — part retail, part museum — celebrates the storied history of Polaroid while also tapping into consumers’ love of digital photos.

  • Lids, Haggar opens at Legends Outlets Kansas City

    Kansas City, Kan. — Lids and Haggar Clothing Co. will open at Legends Outlets Kansas City in Kanas City, Kansas, over the Memorial Day weekend. Lids will occupy a 1,368-sq.-ft. space, and Haggar has taken 2,476-sq. ft.

    The new tenants will join other recent new tenants including Woody’s Automotive, sweetFrog, Pizza Studio, Bath & Body Works, Nail Envy and Coach Factory.
     

  • Sam’s Club awards grant to IVMF

    The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) received a $450,000 grant from Sam’s Club to support women veteran entrepreneurs through its business management training program V-WISE, Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship.

  • 42,000 hires in Walmart’s first year of veterans commitment

    During the first year of Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company hired more than 42,000 veterans. The commitment, launched last Memorial Day, guarantees a job offer to any honorably discharged veteran within his or her first 12 months off active duty. Walmart projects it will hire more than 100,000 veterans in five years.

  • HSN joins national fundraising campaign for Habitat for Humanity

    As HSN breaks ground on its fourth Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County home this month, HSNi Cares, the philanthropic arm of HSN's parent company HSN Inc, is set to launch a national campaign June 1 in support of Habitat for Humanity International.

    Customers from these brands will have the opportunity to make a donation in support of the campaign when making purchases online and over the phone from June 1-30.

  • Sears Canada sells minority stake in Quebec shopping center

    Toronto - Sears Canada Inc. has entered into an agreement for the sale of its 15% minority ownership interest in the Centre commercial Les Rivières shopping centre in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, for $33.5 million. Ivanhoé Cambridge, who holds the center in a joint arrangement with Sears Canada, is purchasing the 15% interest that it does not already own from Sears.
