  • Profit amplifier adds IT exec to board

    Veteran information technology executive Joe Zucchero has joined the board of advisors at big data solutions provider Profitect.

    Profitect said Zucchero’s expertise in IT operations, cross-organizational implementation, and an understanding of the technology needs of the retail industry aligned perfectly with the company’s suite of solutions.

  • Grand Ridge Plaza launches

    Issaquah, Wash. — Construction is nearing completion on Issaquah Highlands’ new shopping and entertainment district, Grand Ridge Plaza. The Regency Centers Corp. center, which broke ground in the summer of 2012, is in the midst of its busiest rollout stretch, which features the grand opening of a Safeway grocery store.

  • Food Lion touting lower prices at more stores

    Fresh off another quarter of same store sales growth, Food Lion held grand re-opening activities at 169 stores in North and South Carolina beginning Wednesday, November 13 in observation of investments the company said it has now made in nearly all of its 1,100 stores.

  • Food Lion announces upgrades in 169 stores

    Salisbury, N.C. -- Food Lion announced that it has made significant investments in 169 stores in North Carolina and South Carolina and created 500 new jobs. Key markets include Greenville, N.C., Wilmington, N.C., Columbia, S.C., Charleston, S.C., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

    To celebrate the launch, Food Lion is holding grand re-opening festivities at the 169 stores, including providing the first 50 customers at each location with a bag of free groceries Nov. 13 through Nov. 16.

  • Cache Q3 loss widens

    New York -- Cache's loss in the third quarter widened amid increased expenses. Its results were also impacted by a large income tax benefit last year.

    For the period ended Sept. 28, Cache Inc. lost $8 million, compared to a loss of $6.4 million a year ago.

    Revenue increased 3% to $47.2 million, from $45.8 million. Same-store sales were down 2.9%.

  • Retro Fitness and Chipotle sign at West Orange Plaza

    West Orange, N.J. — Retro Fitness and Chipotle have signed long-term leases at West Orange Plaza in West Orange, N.J., according to Levin Management, which represented the landlord in the transaction.

    Retro Fitness took 14,115 sq. ft. and was represented by Katz & Associates. Represented by Winick Realty Group, Chipotle leased 2,557 sq. ft.

  • Ferrandino hires VP program management

    Farmingdale, N.Y. -- Ferrandino & Son, which provides snow removal, landscaping, exterior maintenance; facility service and maintenance; general contracting and HVAC services, announced it has hired Dave Magill as VP of  program management.
     
    Magill brings over 28 years of facility services experience in both snow removal and landscaping.
