    San Francisco -- Williams-Sonoma is spicing up its store format.

    The retailer’s new store in Ponce City Market, Atlanta, features a direct pass-through to the latest dining venture by famed chef Jonathan Waxman, with the restaurant outfitted by Williams-Sonoma.

  • Uniqlo to make Midwest debut in a big way

    New York -- Uniqlo will open its second-largest U.S. store to date, in Chicago.

    The 60,000-sq.-ft. location, which also marks the Japanese apparel giant’s entry into the Midwest, will open on Oct. 23, on Michigan Avenue near Water Tower Place, according to the Chicago Tribune.

    The store will take up three floors in the former Filene's Basement space.

    Nielsen released a list of America’s Most Trusted Brands  that shows distinct trust difference between men and woman. The ist stemmed from a consumer packaged goods focused wave of the 27th annual Harris Poll EquiTrend study showcasing the top 10 most-trusted brands.

  • Macy’s links millennials to indie designers

    New York - Macy’s Inc. is reaching out to fashion-minded millennials by providing an online link to up-and-coming independent designers.

    The retailer is entering a new collaboration with online fashion technology start-up company Nineteenth Amendment on Macys.com.

    The retailer named Christopher Baldwin, former CEO of Hess Retail, as president and COO, a position in which Baldwin is poised to succeed Laura Sen, current CEO of BJ’s.

    Baldwin will assume his new responsibilities at the chain on Sept. 8, where he will oversee merchandising, logistics, membership, marketing club operations.
