Hear what Walmart’s new COO has to say

Timing is everything. The Bentonville Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce had already secured Judith McKenna as a speaker for an upcoming event when she was given a major promotion this week.

McKenna had been confirmed by chamber executives in early December as a speaker for an event to be held January 29 for the chamber’s WalStreet membership tier which consists of suppliers and service companies. McKenna’s views would have been interesting enough given her role as chief development officer for Walmart U.S., but then this week it was learned she had been elevated to the role of COO of Walmart U.S. In her new role, McKenna’s views of Walmart’s operations and strategies the company will pursue in 2015 will be of much greater interest to supplier company representatives who attend the Chamber’s WalStreet events.
