Ahold Q3 net profit dips
Amsterdam -- Royal Ahold NV reported Thursday that its third-quarter profit fell 4.4% to $315 million. The Dutch owner of the Stop & Shop and Giant supermarkets in the United States cited higher taxes for the performance decline.
Sales rose 11% to $9.12 billion.
U.S. same-store sales rose 1%. In the Netherlands, where Ahold operates the dominant Albert Heijn chain, same-store sales rose 4.5%.

RMC Property Group launches new division
Tampa, Fla. -- RMC Property Group announced that it has added tenant representation to its scope of services that currently includes leasing and management, brokerage, owner and developer.
“In many ways, we have been practicing tenant representation for years, assisting our clients in backfilling empty boxes or securing new retail locations for tenants,” said Susie Rice, president of RMC Property Group.
To launch the new division, RMC Property Group has added real estate broker David Gibson.
