  • Alibaba teams up with Bigcommerce for direct sourcing

    San Francisco – Alibaba.com has collaborated with e-commerce platform to Bigcommerce deliver an integrated shopping experience for sourcing products from Alibaba.com’s network of Chinese wholesale suppliers. The Alibaba.com Wholesale solution is immediately available to Bigcommerce’s 70,000 stores, and online merchants can now access and purchase a collection of more than 30,000 products from about 300 of Alibaba.com’s Gold Suppliers in China with scope to expand to more than three million products from thousands of Gold Suppliers.

  • Jamba refranchises 100 California stores

    Emeryville, Calif. - Jamba, Inc. has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Vitaligent LLC to refranchise 100 company-owned restaurants in the San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Jamba will receive a purchase price of $36.0 million in cash.

  • Simon withdraws offer for Macerich

    Indianapolis - Simon Property Group Inc. has withdrawn a roughly $22 billion offer to purchase California-based mall operator Macerich Co. In a brief statement, Simon said it decided to withdraw the offer, worth $95.50 per share, in light of the decision by the Macerich board of directors not to engage in discussions.

  • Nordstrom refinances credit

    Seattle - Nordstrom Inc. has completed a new five-year, $800 million senior unsecured revolving credit facility. The new facility replaces an $800 million senior unsecured revolving credit facility that was scheduled to mature in March 2018.

    The revolving credit facility may be used for general corporate purposes and is scheduled to mature in April 2020. At present, there are no outstanding borrowings under the revolver.

  • Talbots extends private label credit agreement with Alliance Date

    Hingham, Mass. – Talbots Inc. has signed an extension to a long-term agreement to continue receiving private label credit card services from Alliance Data Systems Corp. Talbots operates nearly 500 stores throughout the U.S. and Canada.
