  • Walmart and Humana team up on prescription program

    Bentonville, Ark. -- Walmart is partnering with health services company Humana Inc. to offer a new prescription drug plan for insured employers and employees. Humana’s pharmacy benefits management subsidiary, Humana Pharmacy Solutions, will now offer the Walmart Rx Network. The partnership will also offer a new formulary, or approved drug list, called Rx4Value.

  • Marcus & Millichap names retail exec

    Palo Alto, Calif. -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has named Kirk L. Trammell senior director of the firm’s National Retail Group in Palo Alto.

    Trammell joined Marcus & Millichap in June 1989. During his career, he has closed more than $1 billion in commercial property transactions, according to the company.

  • Duckwall-ALCO sees slight sales boost in Q4

    ABILENE, Kan. — Duckwall-ALCO Stores fourth-quarter net sales increased 1% to $137.5 million, compared with the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011. Same-store sales, excluding fuel center sales, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 decreased 0.6% to $133.4 million, compared with the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011. Net sales from continuing operations for fiscal year 2012 increased 4.4% to $482.8 million, compared with fiscal year 2011. Same-store sales, excluding fuel center sales, for fiscal year 2012 increased 3.0% to $467.7 million.

  • Gregory’s Coffee adds fifth location in Manhattan

    New York -- Gregorys Coffee said Thursday it has executed a new lease at 878 6th Avenue (Between 31st and 32nd St.) in Herald Square, as part of the expansion efforts of the coffee shop chain throughout Manhattan.

    The new site is scheduled to open its doors in June.

    The two-story location will feature 1,000 sq. ft. on the second floor, set up as a training center.
