CVS Caremark spent nearly $2M on Q1 lobbying
Woonsocket, R.I. CVS Caremark Corp. spent $1.98 million in the first quarter as it lobbied Congress on issues related to the healthcare reform law and other matters.
The retailer’s lobbying interests included changes to Medicare and Medicaid programs that were made as part of the healthcare overhaul. Its activities were disclosed in a form filed April 20 with the House clerk's office.
CVS Caremark also spent about $2 million on lobbying in first quarter 2009 and $2.14 million in the fourth quarter.
