SIDNEY, Neb. — Cabela's has named Sean Baker as president of World's Foremost Bank and will be appointed CEO effective Jan. 1, 2013. Baker will replace Joseph Friebe, whose planned retirement was announced in June.

Fort Worth, Texas -- Pier 1 Imports said Thursday it has launched a fully redesigned website, Pier1.com, with a lineup of new features, including “Pier 1 To-You” allowing users to buy products online and have them shipped to any location in the continental United States.

Additional options continue to include “Pier 1 To-Go,” which launched in June 2011 and allows customers to pay for selected product offerings online and pick them up in-store with no shipping charges.

Cherry Hill, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that Essensuals London will open a high-end salon – its first on the East Coast – at PREIT’s Cherry Hill (N.J.) Mall property.

The 1,530-sq.-ft. salon will be the third of its kind in the country, and will join recently opened Henri Bendel. Pottery Barn and The North Face are opening in the fall.


 

Phoenix -- Sprouts Farmers Markets said Thursday that current CEO Shon Boney will move into the role of chairman, and that current president Doug Sanders will take the reins of the organic grocery chain as president and CEO.

Sanders joined Sprouts in 2002 when the company had only one store. He became president in 2005 after serving in various roles including CIO and COO.
 

PHOENIX — Sprouts Farmers Markets announced that Shon Boney, who has served as CEO since the company's founding in 2002, will assume the role of chairman of the board of Sprouts. Long-time Sprouts president Doug Sanders will become president and CEO, whereby he will continue to be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of running the business.

According to the company, Boney is taking on the chairman role in order to spend more time with his family in Sand Diego.

Walmart.com still has a lot of ground to make up on Amazon.com, but July was a step in the right direction as the company added more unique visitors and grew at a faster pace than Amazon.com.

The number of unique visitors to Walmart.com increased 16.8% I to 45.2 million and placed the company 23 on a top 50 Web properties report compiled monthly by the online measurement firm comScore Media Metrix. During July of 2011, Walmart.com ranked 25^{th with 38.7 million unique visitors.}
