  • MarineMax expands financing capacity, expects growth

    Clearwater, Fla. - MarineMax Inc. has expanded its financing facility to provide for borrowings of up to $235 million. The expanded facility has a three-year term, expiring in August 2017, and it has two, one-year options to renew, subject to lender approval.

  • ACI Worldwide to deliver new European card payments platform to Auchan Group

    Naples, Fla. -- ACI Worldwide, a leading global provider of electronic payment and banking solutions, announced that Auchan Group, one of the world’s largest food retailers, has selected the company to deliver its new SEPA-compliant European card payments platform, the first of its kind in Europe.

  • Amazon taps new CFO

    Amazon has confirmed that SVP and CFO Thomas J. Szkutak plans to retire from the company in June 2015. Succeeding him will be Brian T. Olsavsky, VP of finance for the company’s global consumer business, reporting to founder and CEO Jeffrey P. Bezos.

    Szkutak has been Amazon’s CFO since joining the company in October 2002 and oversees the controller, treasury, investor relations, tax, internal audit and facilities functions as well as financial management of the company’s business units.

  • Amazon CFO transition

    New York -- Amazon said that senior VP and CFO Thomas J. Szkutak plans to retire in June 2015. Brian T. Olsavsky, VP finance for Amazon’s global consumer business, will succeed Szkutak. Szkutak and Olsavsky will work together during the next 10 months as part of the transition.

    Szkutak joined Amazon in 2002 as CFO, and oversees the controller, treasury, investor relations, tax, internal audit and facilities functions as well as financial management of the company’s business units.

  • Office Depot taps former Sears exec as CIO of international

    Keith Sherwell, who served as CIO of Sears Holding Corp from March 2010 to June 2013, has been named CIO of the Office Depot international division, effective Sept. 15. Sherwell advised the board of OfficeMax during merger negotiations with Office Depot, and has served as a technology integration consultant to Office Depot since the completion of the merger in November 2013.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us’ international business rebounds

    For the second consecutive quarter, Toys “R” Us has delivered positive comparable store net sales results in its U.S. and international segments.

    After several years of market weakness, the company’s international business as whole has begun to rebound, driven primarily by net sales increases in Japan and the U.K. Business in China and Southeast Asia remains strong, as the company continues its expansion in that region.

  • La-Z-Boy announces executive appointments

    La-Z-Boy has named Doug Collier as SVP of La-Z-Boy Incorporated, chief marketing officer and president, international, and has named Darrell Edwards as SVP of La-Z-Boy Incorporated and chief supply chain officer.  

    Collier rejoined La-Z-Boy in June 2007 after two years with Select Comfort as chief marketing officer and SVP of marketing. Prior to Select Comfort, Collier held various leadership positions at La-Z-Boy from 2002 through 2005, including VP of marketing and furniture galleries development.
