  • The Children's Place taps former Kate Spade exec as group VP, finance

    The Children's Place has appointed Robert Vill as group VP of finance. He will report to Michael Scarpa, chief operating officer and CFO.

    "Bob brings to The Children's Place a wealth of financial expertise in the areas of corporate finance, treasury and investor relations," Scarpa said. "I am very pleased to welcome him to our team."

  • Marcus & Millichap names regional director of national retail group

    San Diego -- Marcus & Millichap announced the appointment of Rick Puttkammer to the position of regional director of its National Retail Group. Puttkammer is based in the firm’s San Diego office and his appointment is part of the firm’s strategy to enhance its brokerage support and client services.

    Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Puttkammer was senior VP at Colliers International in San Diego, where he focused on institutional investment sales in the Western United States.  

     

  • Tiffany names exec VP overseeing global retail ops

    New York -- Tiffany & Co. announced that it has named Jill Beraud as an executive VP, effective Oct. 13. She will have responsibility for global retail operations including all sales channels in every region, as well as oversight of strategic store development and real estate.

    Beraud will report to Frederic Cumenal, president, who, as previously announced, will become Tiffany’s CEO effective April 1, 2015.

    Beraud, 54, joins Tiffany from Living Proof where she has been CEO since 2011.

  • CBRE names Americas head of research

    Los Angeles -- CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Spencer Levy has been appointed Americas head of research. Levy, a seven-year veteran of CBRE, had previously served as executive managing director in the company’s Capital Markets Group. His most recent duties included oversight of CBRE Capital Market’s Corporate Advisory, Auction and Latin America operations. He also directly serves a number of major clients.

    Tiffany & Co. has named Jill Beraud as an EVP, effective Oct. 13. Beraud will be responsible for global retail operations, including all sales channels in every region, as well as oversight of strategic store development and real estate.

    “We are delighted that Jill will join our management team and believe that she can further enhance our regional and global capabilities to support Tiffany’s continued sales and earnings growth,” said Michael J. Kowalski, chairman and CEO.

  • Costco Q4 sales climb 9%; will open nine stores by year-end

    Issaquah, Wash. – Costco Wholesale Corp. on Thursday reported that its revenue for the fourth-quarter climbed 9% to $34.8 billion. Total same-store sales, excluding negative impacts from gasoline price deflation and foreign exchange, increased 7%.

    Costco plans to open nine new warehouse stores before the end of calendar year 2014.

    During the full fiscal year 2014, Costco reported a 7% jump in net sales to $110.2 million from $102.9 million. Total same-store sales rose 6%.
