Beer, bull-ridin', and barbecue in Alabama. Meet the PBR + Lockhart Smokehouse.

Professional bull riders round ‘em up, Lockhart Smokehouse cooks ‘em up, and now the two have formed a professional partnership in Alabama.

The Professional Bull Riders association’s Cowboy Bar will corral together with smokehouse masters from Lockhart, the “barbecue capital of Texas,” at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, a property managed by Bayer Properties.

“PBR Cowboy Bars are now located in 10 cities around the country. To be able to continue our growth and partner with such an iconic, authentic Texas barbecue concept in and create the first PBR x Lockhart Smokehouse restaurant is incredibly exciting for our brand and for our fans,” said PBR CEO and Commissioner Sean Gleason.

The 8,121-sq.-ft. location will entertain guests with country music and bull riding on PBR’s professionally endorsed mechanical bull while serving them the ribs and brisket first smoked low and slow at the Kreuz Market in Lockhart.

“We are thrilled to bring our Lockhart Smokehouse classics to Alabama for the first time in this exciting collaboration with PBR Cowboy Bar,” said Jill Bergus, owner of Lockhart along with her husband Jeff.

Birmingham-based Bayer has been focused on expanding the property’s experience-driven dining, having already added The Cheesecake Main Event.

“Our customers seek out experiences that involve both food and entertainment and PBR and Lockhart Smokehouse’s dual-concept answers that growing demand,” said Bayer senior VP of national accounts Nikki Columbo.

The PBR x Lockhart Smokehouse concept is managed by Live Dining & Entertainment, a part of The Cordish Companies’ retail center entertainment powerhouse that created Bally Sports Live! in St. Louis, Live! at the Battery in Atlanta, and Kansas City Live! within the city’s Power & Light District.
