Bed Bath & Beyond goes back to roots for new store concept — complete with coupons
Bed Bath & Beyond has opened its first standalone store since its original owners filed for bankruptcy in 2023.
Neighborhood Intelligence Inc., the newly-named parent company of Bed Bath & Beyond, The Container Store, BuyBuy Baby, Kirkland’s and other brands, has opened a standalone Bed Bath & Beyond location in Glendale, Ariz. The 19,000-sq.-ft. store offers the original Bed Bath & Beyond shopping experience — including its iconic tower wall and popular 20% off coupons.
Merchandised by room and occasion, the store offers a wide assortment of home goods, from storage and organization to home decor and goods. It combines the products and brands long associated with Bed Bath & Beyond with The Container Store’s expertise in organization.
In June, Bed Bath & Beyond unveiled a co-branded store concept with The Container Store, which it acquired earlier this year.It featured elements from both retailers, including organizational products, design services and a wide assortment of home products.

Building on the Glendale opening and the continued expansion of Bed Bath & Beyond through its co-branded locations with The Container Store, the company plans to open additional standalone Bed Bath & Beyond stores in Minnesota, Florida, and Mississippi in 2027.
"Bed Bath & Beyond is a brand that generations of customers have welcomed into their homes, and we’re excited to bring it back to their neighborhoods,” said Amy Sullivan, president of Neighborhood Intelligence. “We’re bringing back the things customers have always loved, from the iconic shopping experience to the brands, products, and value they remember, while introducing new ways to help customers make the most of every room in their home. Glendale is an important milestone, and we’re just getting started.”
The planned Bed Bath & Beyond openings are part of Neighborhood Intelligence’s broader Everything Home strategy, the company said, connecting customers with trusted retail brands, home products, and services through an expanding network of neighborhood stores and digital experiences.
“Our stores are about more than a transaction," Sullivan added. "They’re about being part of the communities we serve. We want customers to rediscover Bed Bath & Beyond, find the things they love, and have a reason to come back again and again. That’s how we build lasting relationships with our customers and stronger businesses in every neighborhood.”
At the company expands, it is also closing underperforming locations from some of its acquisitions. On the company’s recent earnings call, Neighborhood Intelligence CEO Marcus Lemonis told analysts that the company is in the process of closing 39 Kirkland’s stores. It also will have closed 11 Container Store locations by yearend.
