Amazon Thanksgiving meal deal cheaper than Walmart's — with a perk and a catch
Amazon is the latest retailer to launch a Thanksgiving meal deal, with an offering that is also one of the most inexpensive.
Amazon Grocery is offering a complete Thanksgiving meal for $25. Available now through Nov. 26 while supplies last, the meal includes an 8 lb. frozen Butterball turkey turkey, plus ingredients for classic sides and dessert. Customers in more than 2,300 U.S. cities and towns where Amazon offers fresh grocery same-day delivery can get the meal delivered to their doors within hours, the company said.
The Amazon offering is $10 less than Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal bundle. But it includes 15 items compared to the 26 items in the Walmart offering, which the company says can feed 10 people. Amazon does not say how many people its meal can feed.
To date, an array of other retailers have come out with holiday meal deals, including Target whose offer is priced at $30 for six people. Discount grocer Aldi is offering a holiday meal for 10 people at $38.74, while Lidl's holiday meal, $35.86 for 10 people, is priced just slightly above Walmart's.

•20–25% off select meal essentials and baking supplies across 300+ McCormick & Company products, Nov. 19 through Nov. 30; and
•20% off select Ziploc Food Storage Container and Storage Bags to prep for leftovers from Nov. 26 through Nov. 30.
"Amazon makes it even easier for customers to put a delicious meal on the table,” said Jason Buechel, VP of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores and CEO at Whole Foods Market. “With Amazon, customers can get everything they need at everyday low prices — from the turkey to the sides to the serving essentials — all in one cart, delivered to their door within hours.”
