Walmart offers its lowest-priced holiday meal deal ever
Walmart has rolled out one of the lowest-priced holiday meal deal offers in retail as consumers remain very value-focused heading into the holidays.
For $35, the retail giant’s new Holiday Meal Basket is a complete holiday meal that serves 10 people – at $3.50 per person. This year's basket has 18% more items than last year’s, according to Walmart, with the items in the basket costing 12% less than they did in 2025, making it the lowest priced one-click basket in the program’s five-year history.
Available through Dec. 24, the basket includes a mix of 26 national and Walmart brand favorites to prepare traditional holiday dishes, including a Butterball turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie.

To date, an array of other retailers have come out with holiday meal deals, including Target whose offer is priced at $30 for six people. Discount grocer Aldi is offering a holiday meal for 10 people at $38.74, while Lidl's holiday meal, $35.86 for 10 people, is priced just slightly above Walmart's.
According to Walmart’s recent 2026 Holiday Trend Report, six-in-10 customers said holiday costs shape their shopping mood, and 70% said lower prices would make holiday shopping easier.
"The Holiday Meal Basket has become one of our favorite traditions at Walmart,” said David Guggina, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., who has led the retail giant since February. “It brings our purpose to life in such a meaningful way by helping families make the holidays special without stretching their budgets. This year, our Holiday Meal Basket brings even more food to the table for just $35, while making it easier for customers to plan, shop and celebrate in ways that work for them.”
The Holiday Meal Basket is available in stores or purchase the entire assortment online at Walmart.com/HolidaySavingsBasket. Customers will be able to ask Sparky, Walmart’s AI shopping agent, to add the basket to their online cart.
The retailer is also offering free Express Delivery on the meal basket through Nov. 30, with no purchase quantity limitations.
