Amazon posts holiday gift guides – in October

Amazon is getting an early start on its holiday shopping promotions.

The e-tail giant is launching its biggest-ever selection of holiday gift guides and exclusive online storefronts on Monday, Oct. 5 – in time for Prime Day (Oct. 13-14) and earlier than ever before.

The dedicated gift guide homepage offers a variety of the latest products presented in assortments including products from small businesses, beauty, fashion, and toys. Shoppers can ask the Amazon Alexa voice assistant for gift ideas by asking it questions such as, "Alexa, find funny gifts" or "Alexa, give me gift ideas under $50.”

Between Oct. 5-12, eligible Prime members with an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card or Amazon Prime Store Card will receive 10% back on select products included in the electronics, home, and toys gift assortments.

In addition, for the fourth consecutive year, Amazon is teaming up with global HIV/AIDS nonprofit (RED) to provide customers a single destination to shop an array of products that give back a portion of the purchase amount, spanning tech, fashion, health and wellness, kitchen and home, and more. For 2020, each purchase will not only support (RED)’s fight to end AIDS, but also help combat the effects of COVID-19 in sub-Saharan Africa. (RED) products will be available starting Oct. 5 at amazon.com/red.
