Amazon launches national GLP-1 weight loss management program
Amazon is diving deeper into GLP-1 weight loss management.
The online giant is introducing a nationwide comprehensive GLP-1 management program that integrates medication access options, including Amazon Pharmacy, with personalized primary care that combines GLP-1 medications and ongoing medical expertise.
The program integrates GLP-1 management into patients' broader primary care, managing how weight loss intersects with cardiovascular health, metabolic conditions, and overall health. Integrated care incudes pre-visit screening, structured consultations, follow-up visits with integrated monitoring, standardized documentation, and treatment algorithms with built-in safety protocols. As patients lose weight, Amazon One Medical clinicians will adjust medications when appropriate.
The program also seamlessly integrates with Amazon Pharmacy, providing fast, prescription delivery to all 50 states including Washington D.C. Amazon Pharmacy also offers same-day delivery in nearly 3,000 cities and towns, with plans to expand to nearly 4,500 by the end of 2026.

"Obesity affects more than 40% of U.S. adults, and while advances such as GLP-1-based therapies are helping to address this chronic condition, without long-term care and clinical guidance, patients can experience negative impacts to their overall health and sometimes not achieve optimal outcomes," said Hemalee Patel, D.O., senior medical director of Cardiometabolic Health, One Medical. "Our program is designed to address these pitfalls. We integrate GLP-1 management into primary care, tailoring treatment to each patient's full health picture and providing the ongoing support that drives real, sustainable results."
Now available nationwide where One Medical has offices, the program also offers in-person and remote visits, in-office labs for GLP-1 screening, and healthcare professionals to help manage weight loss plans and comorbidities.
One Medical clinicians work with patients to send prescriptions to the pharmacy of their choice. Consumers can also discover and gain access to the GLP-1 management program and pharmacy delivery through the Amazon Health AI assistant on the retailer’s e-commerce site and app.
