Ace Hardware integrates retail media network with marketing platform

Red Vest Media
Ace Hardware is collaborating with Pacvue.

The world’s largest hardware cooperative is connecting its Red Vest media network into the Pacvue unified commerce ecosystem.

Ace Hardware initially launched Red Vest Media in August 2025. Red Vest Media enables brands to engage its shoppers with targeted digital advertising including onsite premium ads, search, and display; email and push messaging; in-store signage; and offsite programmatic display, video, connected TV and mobile ads.

Through this collaboration, enabled via Pacvue’s integration with Epsilon (also a Red Vest Media partner), advertisers can activate, manage, and optimize Ace Hardware campaigns directly within Pacvue, alongside existing investments across Amazon, Walmart, and other retail media networks that are integrated with the Pacvue platform.

“RedVest Media provides brands the tools to engage our unique and loyal Ace customer,” said Molly Hjelm, corporate VP, GM of RedVest Media at Ace Hardware. “Our differentiation in the industry comes from our 5,200 store scale, the convenience of our locations, the helpfulness of our store staff, and the strength and trust we’ve built through our loyalty program, By partnering with Pacvue, advertisers now have the ability to engage our customer in a way that fits into their broader retail media approach, making it even more seamless to engage the Ace customer and providing more ways to activate their RedVest Media campaigns.”

Other key benefits for advertisers include:

  • Connecting Ace Hardware performance to a unified reporting view, with cross-retailer dashboards that enable them to compare results, identify trends, and roll up performance across the full portfolio.
  • Applying automation and rules-based optimization to RedVest Media campaigns, including bid management and budget pacing.
  • Eliminating the operational overhead of managing Ace as a standalone channel, reducing manual work and giving advertisers more time to act on insights.

“Ace Hardware represents the kind of differentiated retail environment that belongs in any serious brand’s commerce media strategy,” said Tommy Burton, VP of global partnerships at Pacvue. "Through our integration with RedVest Media, we’re making it straightforward for advertisers to activate Ace alongside the rest of their portfolio – with the reporting, automation, and governance their teams need to operate at scale."

Ace Hardware is following in the footsteps of home improvement rivals such as The Home Depot, which initially launched a retail media network in 2018 and then upgraded it to the new Orange Apron Media offering in March 2024.

In addition, Lowe’s introduced Lowe's One Roof Media Network, a retail media service designed to provide a portfolio of omnichannel advertising services, in October 2021, and rebranded it with a new logo and the simplified name of Lowe's Media Network in August 2024.

Headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., Ace Hardware is the largest hardware cooperative in the world, serving more than 8,700 locally owned and operated stores around the globe, including almost 5,200 Ace retail stores in the U.S.
