Yesway Inc. continues expansion after IPO with Arizona debut
Convenience retailer Yesway Inc. is touching down in a major new market.
The company will make its Arizona debut on Oct. 2 with the opening of a new Allsup’s convenience store in Wilcox, located in the southeast corner of the state near the New Mexico border.
The new location will span approximately 6,277 square feet, and feature 10 multi-product fuel dispensers, five diesel lanes and 17 truck parking spaces, while offering fresh food, grocery items and more inside. With the opening of the first Arizona location, Yesway will operate 453 stores between its namesake and Allsup’s banners across 10 states in the Southwest and Midwest.

We have long believed that Arizona represents an outstanding opportunity for our company, and we are delighted to finally introduce this iconic Southwestern brand to customers in the state."
Yesway said that Arizona is an “important component” of its broader new-store development strategy, which is currently concentrated in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. The company is fast expanding, having developed and opened more than 90 new stores over approximately the past five years.
Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Yesway Inc. went public earlier this year in an initial public offering that raised about $280 million, selling 14 million shares at $20 each for a valuation of $1.21 billion. The trading debut was backed by private equity firm Brookwood Financial Partners.
According to a filing with the SEC in April, the company said it intends to open 130 new stores by 2031, most of them new‑to‑industry builds.
