Ye escorted out after ‘univited’ visit to Skechers HQ; claims he lost $1B in a day

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) made a surprise stop at a Skechers’ corporate office, but it didn’t last very long. 

The footwear company said Ye arrived unannounced and without invitation at one of its corporate offices in Los Angeles, on Oct. 27 In a statement, Skechers said that “considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming,” two of its executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation. It also said it was not considering and has no intention of working with him.

“We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech,” Skechers stated. “The company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.”

Ye’s visit to Skechers came the day after Adidas ended its partnership with the embattled rapper and fashion mogun. Foot Locker and Gap have also said they are removing products from Yeezy line merchandise from their stores. French fashion house Balenciaga has also severed times with Ye.

The loss of his endorsements and deals, have cut into Ye’s financial worth. On Thursday morning, he posted an Instagram message in which, among things, he wrote “I LOST 2 BILLION DOLLARS IN ONE DAY.”
