Walmart is partnering with an online product discovery platform to help entrepreneurs apply for the opportunity to virtually meet with its buyers.
For the second year in a row, Walmart is supporting its Open Call competition for entrepreneurs with U.S.-manufactured products with the RangeMe platform. Leveraging RangeMe technology, Walmart will streamline new product discovery between product suppliers and retailers, as well as help manage applications from U.S. manufacturers and suppliers seeking to get their products into Walmart stores.
“We are thrilled to be working with Walmart on Open Call 2020,” said Nicky Jackson, CEO and founder of RangeMe. “It’s an outstanding opportunity to help emerging U.S. brands take the next step on their product journey from idea to shelf, which is the foundation of RangeMe. To simultaneously assist one of the world’s most innovative retailers facilitate new product discovery is a win for all parties involved.”
Walmart’s seventh annual Open Call competition provides selected U.S. entrepreneurs and manufacturers to meet with Walmart buyers and executives and pitch their products to be sold at Walmart and/or Sam’s Club stores. This year’s virtual event will be held Oct. 1.
