  • Target in big multichannel holiday push; rolling out in-store pickups

    Minneapolis – Target Corp. is making a big online push for the holidays, including expanding its in-store pick-up program for products ordered online to all of its U.S. stores by Nov. 1 (the service is now available in about half of the chain’s locations). And for the first time, Target will promote the concept of Cyber Week, with an ad campaign Dec. 1 through Dec. 3 that focuses on Cyber Week deals including Cyber Monday.

  • Abercrombie & Fitch conducts trade via cloud to support global growth; uses GT Nexus platform

    New York – Abercrombie & Fitch has extended its contract with GT Nexus to expand its cloud supply chain strategy and improve visibility into the movement of orders, payments and goods. The retailer has automated its procure-to-pay process in the cloud using GT Nexus to create a transparent workflow environment for purchase orders, invoices, amendments and settlements.

    Since 2010, Abercrombie & Fitch has used the GT Nexus platform to support international sourcing and supplier collaboration.

  • AT&T unveils next-generation store design

    New York -- AT&T unveiled its newest store design, at a new location in LaGrange, Ill. The store is built around the customer experience, with a goal of providing a glimpse of what the future of retail will look like.   • Overstock.com new ads are Snoopified

    SALT LAKE CITY — Utah-based online retailer Overstock.com has a fresh round of TV ads, and they feature Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg), his wife, Shante, his daughter, Cori, and his sons, Corde and Cordell. 

    The ads depict Snoop using Overstock.com to find products that solve his wife and kids' most pressing problems.

  • Under Armour returns to the gridiron

    BALTIMORE — Under Armour is going back to its roots — grassroots football, that is — in its latest global marketing campaign. Things kick off with a 60-second spot called, "Ready for August," which will serve as the centerpiece of phase two of the I Will campaign.

    The commercial will be broadcast July 15 on Fox during the 2013 MLB All-Star Game Home Run Derby, and is viewable on YouTube now.

  • J.C. Penney asks customers to come back in its new ad

    New York -- J.C. Penney Co. on Wednesday unveiled an advertisement on Facebook that asks customers to return to its stores. The ad will air Wednesday and Thursday on national television, as well as on Penney’s social media platforms.
