  • PayPal and Samsung roll out new tech for Galaxy S5

    PayPal and Samsung have collaborated to make Samsung Galaxy S5 users the first to be able to log in and shop at any merchant that accepts PayPal on mobile and in-stores using their fingerprint.

    The new biometric feature means Galaxy S5 users will no longer need to remember passwords or login details. PayPal is touting itself as the first global payments company to support Samsung’s mobile fingerprint authentication technology.

  • Banana Republic unveils omnichannel campaign for spring

    Banana Republic will unveil an omnichannel marketing campaign called “True Outfitters” in March 2014.

    Styled by Jessica Diehl and shot by Mikael Jansson, the campaign was developed with Laird+Partners, Banana Republic's advertising agency. The campaign will appear in March and April publications, supplemented by outdoor, online and direct mail. Digital portions include a dedicated website and a special YouTube event on March 2.

  • Sport Chek opens digital-savvy flagship in West Edmonton Mall

    Edmonton, Canada -- Sport Chek on Wednesday opened an 80,000 sq.-ft. flagship in Canada's West Edmonton Mall. The store is designed to offer a personalized shopping experience that connects consumers to the sports they are passionate about.

    The space includes 800 screens that display product images, promotions and local sports information. It features over 1,200 sq. ft. of digital projection.

  • Lucky Charms turns 50

    Lucky Charms cereal is marking its 50th anniversary with a 50-day celebration featuring its longtime mascot Lucky the leprechaun.

    The celebration kicked off last night with a tribute ad featuring pop vocal sensation Pentatonix singing his jingle. The festivities will culminate on Lucky's 50th birthday. St. Patrick's Day, March 17. Throughout the 50-day celebration, surprises will pop up across the country and online.

  • M&M'S new Super Bowl commercial is nuts

    Mars Chocolate North America will debut a new 30-second M&M'S Peanut commercial in the first half of Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday, Feb. 2, featuring Yellow.

    Yellow was first introduced along with M&M'S Peanut in 1954. But the character usually plays second fiddle to Red.

  • Lease the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile via Twitter

    Remember the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile? Well, the brand is offering a chance for people to “lease” the hot dog on wheels for eight hours via Twitter.

    Participants must use hashtag #Tweet2Lease, and one winner will be chosen to get chauffeured around town for eight hours on the Wienermobile by the vehicle's drivers, known as Hotdoggers.
