True Religion currently operates 57 stores nationwide.

A lifestyle denim and apparel brand is expanding its store footprint this year and has hired a new executive to oversee the expansion.

True Religion will open four new stores through the remainder of 2026, with locations in Indianapolis; Brandon, Fla.; Sacramento, Calif.; and Cherry Hill, N.J. The openings will bring the company's total U.S. fleet to 61 locations.

Following recent openings in Orlando and Boston, True Religion says the new stores bring the brand closer to its near-term goal of operating 150 U.S. stores across the country.

"Our stores are highly profitable, averaging 45% four-wall EBITDA margins, while strengthening our e-commerce and wholesale channels,” said True Religion CEO Michael Buckley, who has led the brand since 2019. “This success gives us confidence to accelerate our retail expansion as we build toward our goal of becoming a $1 billion lifestyle brand.”

True Religion also announced that it has hired Kristen Jones as VP of retail. Jones brings more than 30 years of retail experience to the company, most recently serving as the director of sales and operations at Skechers, where she managed over 300 stores.

Jones spent nearly nine years with the casual footwear brand. Prior to joining Skechers, she held roles at Target, Ross Stores and Levi's.

"I'm thrilled to be joining True Religion at such a dynamic point in the company's journey,” said Jones. “True Religion is in a stage of growth with lots of whitespace opportunity ahead and I'm eager to continue driving our retail expansion forward and showcasing the magic of this iconic brand."

Founded in 2002, True Religion offers apparel and denim for women, men and kids. In early 2025, the brand was acquired by private equity firm Acon Investments and its partner, SB360 Capital Partners, an advisory and retail investment fund chaired by American Eagle Outfitter CEO and executive chairman Jay Schottenstein.

“With Kristen joining the team, we've added a proven retail expert who will be instrumental in scaling our brick-and-mortar presence, and we look forward to bringing the True Religion experience to even more consumers,” added Buckley.
