Target has more than tripled the number of in-store Apple shops.

Target Corp.’s collaboration with Apple continues to evolve.

The discounter said it has more than tripled the number of Apple at Target shop-in-shops this year, for a total of more than 150 stores. Each location features Apple-trained Target tech consultants and has twice the space dedicated to Apple products compared to a typical Target store.  The assortment includes the new Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, AirPods Pro (2nd generation) and more, with the items also available on Target’s website.

In a new offering, Target is offering members of its free-to-join Target Circle loyalty program free trial subscriptions to Apple Services — with no purchase required. The offer includes a four-month free trial of Apple Fitness+, a subscription app that provides access to trainer-guided workout videos on compatible Apple devices.

“Whether you're just getting started, trying something new or switching up your fitness routine, there are over 3,000 workouts and meditations to choose from, with new ones added each week, ranging from five to 45 minutes across 11 workout types and all led by our amazing team of motivating trainers,” explained Jay Blahnik, VP of Fitness technologies, Apple.

Special offers to Circle members are also available to Apple Services such as iCloud+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Apple News+, with some including up to five months free. The offer runs from November through Jan. 5, 2023.

Target debuted in-store Apple shops in early 2021.

The shops are designed to enhance Target’s strategy to a one-stop-shop for electronics and accessories and its heritage of creating immersive shop-in-shop experiences with top national brands that, in addition to Apple, include Ulta Beauty, Disney, and Levi’s.

Guests love the branded and immersive retail experiences we’re creating with Apple and other partners including Disney, Ulta Beauty, and Levi’s.

Target also will have special holiday offers on select Apple services such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and iCloud+, with some including up to five months free, available through Target Circle.

Target unveiled the first Apple at Target shop-in-shops in early 2021. The shops were designed to enhance Target’s status as a destination for electronics and related accessories and add to the company’s heritage of creating branded experiences in stores and online with strategic partners.

For years, Target has been a destination for Apple products,” said Jill Sando, executive VP and chief merchandising officer, Target. “Now we are excited to deepen our collaboration with Apple so even more guests can access the exceptional Apple at Target shop-in-shop experience. Guests love the branded and immersive retail experiences we’re creating with Apple and other partners including Disney, Ulta Beauty and Levi’s.”
