Target is rolling out Levi’s Red Label collection to an additional 300 stores.

Target is doubling down on denim.

The retailer is expanding its distribution of Levi Strauss & Co.’s Red Tab products from approximately 500 Target stores to an additional 300 locations this year, for a total footprint of 800 locations. More than 60 new styles are being added to the collection, including tops, dresses, jeans for women, and fleece, tees and trucker jackets for men.  The offerings will vary by store, but the entire collection will be available online, including expanded sizes.

Target started carrying Red Tab — Levi’s signature label — products in 2019, with the initial rollout in 50 stores. In 2020, it announced plans to expand the distribution to 500 stores, including curated in-store displays, by fall 2021. And in February 2021, Target and Levi’s launched a limited-edition collection of home goods and lifestyle items. The line, called Levi’s for Target, included more than 100 items.

“Strategic partnerships like Levi’s continue to drive preference for Target, and guests turn to Target for the very best national brands alongside more than 45 incredible owned brands,” said Jill Sando, executive VP and chief merchandising officer, Target. “Since offering our guests Levi’s Red Tab label for the first time more than two years ago, paired with our unmatched owned brand offerings, we’ve established Target as a go-to place for denim.”
