Sustainable fashion brand Amour Vert plots store growth

amour
Armour Vert was founded online in 2010.

An ethically made, women-led, sustainable fashion brand based in San Francisco is expanding its footprint.

Amour Vert will open a store at Montgomery Village, an open-air retail destination in Santa Rosa, Calif.  Set to open later this year, the new outpost will be the San Francisco-based company’s fifth brick-and-mortar store.

The Montgomery Village store kicks off the next phase of growth for Amour Vert, which plans to triple its current footprint in the next twelve months.  Most of the new locations will be in California, but the company is also eyeing properties on the East Coast and in the Midwest.

Blending eco-conscious, French sophistication with Northern Californian ease, Amour Vert launched in 2010. Instead of investing in trends that inevitably lead to the landfill, the company said it is dedicated to addressing the environmental impact of everything it designs before going into production.

From fabric and fiber certification to using only compostable and recycled packaging, Amour Vert said it considers “every decision with intention and purpose.” The company also has a resale program called ReAmour.

In Montgomery Village, Amour Vert will join a growing portfolio of tenants that include Warby Parker and Lululemon, as well as   local favorites such as Wild Honey Mercantile and Avid Coffee.  With 280,000 sq. ft. of retail space, the Village is home to more than 60 shops, services and eateries,

“We have an exceptionally loyal customer base here in the Bay Area, with a lot of online business coming from the North Bay,” said Amour Vert CEO Dominique Mikolajczak. “This new store will allow us to meet our customers where they are and give them the opportunity to experience Amour Vert in person. We’ve been impressed with how Montgomery Village has been developing and are pleased to be a part of it.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Amour Vert to our community,” said Brittany Mundarain, general manager at Montgomery Village. “Their clothing perfectly matches the North Bay lifestyle, and we can’t wait for their local fans and soon-to-be fans to have an option for beautiful, sustainable fashion close to home.”
