Spirit Halloween to highlight animatronics at 1,500-plus stores this year
Spirit Halloween is going immersive at its stores this spooky season.
The seasonal retailer will open more than 1,500 store locations in North America this year, on par with last year’s record-setting location total. New for 2025, Spirit Halloween’s in-store experience will be more immersive than ever, transporting guests to "Madison Scare Park," a haunted subway platform brought to life through an “interactive design and eerie details.”
At the heart of the experience is this year's animatronics collection, debuting “cutting-edge” features like dual 180-degree rotational motors showcased by “Twisted Grandma,” a frightful twist on candy dispensers with “Trick or Treat Pete,” and advanced motion tracking as seen in the all-new “Jack the Reaper" animatronic.

Along the way in the store experience, guests will uncover Spirit Halloween's most sought-after costumes, including fan-favorite characters from Squid Game, Marvel, Wicked and more. Shoppers will find exclusive designs and styles for all ages, plus horror-inspired accessories and expanded décor collections including themed bathroom sets with soap dispensers, shower curtains, and bathmats, along with kitchenware and wall art.

Earlier this year, the retailer announced plans to hire approximately 50,000 workers for the Halloween season.
