An innovative entrepreneur and rock legend will deliver the opening keynote at Chain Store Age’s 60th annual SPECS Show, March 10-12, at the Gaylord Texan, Grapevine, Texas.
Gene Simmons co-founded the iconic rock band KISS some 50 years ago. During the last five decades, KISS sold over 100 million CDs and DVDs worldwide and performed in sold-out stadiums and arenas around the world. KISS recently concluded its long-running “End of the Road World Tour” at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden.
KISS entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the 2014 induction ceremony. The band has been recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for its pioneering work.
In addition to being one of the world’s most recognized personalities, Simmons is also a successful entrepreneur. He starred in — and was the executive producer of — his own reality series, “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” for nine seasons. He also managed the recording career of Liza Minnelli and discovered the legendary rock band Van Halen.
Simmons is the co-founder of Rock and Brews restaurants which has more than 15 locations — and more sites on the way. He also has the MoneyBag Sodas and MoneyBag Vodkas, available in stores.
He has written six New York Times bestselling books under his Simmons Books imprint and Simmons comic book companies.
Simmons' Hamilton Films is currently filming two features: “Deep Water” with Sir Ben Kingsley and Aaron Eckhart; and “The Canyon” with Bella Thorne and Mel Gibson.
On Monday, March 11, Simmons will share his incredible, unique journey as a rock legend and innovative entrepreneur — and his work expanding KISS’ business empire.
