The shapewear and intimates brand co-founded by TV superstar and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is continuing to bolster its leadership team.

Skims has promoted Kim Schraub to the role of chief brand officer, in addition to appointing Erin Magee as its new chief design officer. The moves come less than a month after Skims named longtime Kardashian business partner Tracy Nguyen to the role of chief communications officer.

Schraub has served as the creative director of Skims since it launched, and has more than 25 years of experience building fashion and lifestyle brands. From 2012 to 2019, Schraub served as the brand director at Yeezy, the footwear and apparel brand of Kardashian's former husband and music superstar Kanye West. Prior to that, she held senior design roles at Victoria’s Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch.

In her new role as chief brand officer, Schraub will continue to oversee Skims’ brand strategy, while taking on a broader leadership role across retail, campaigns, collaborations and storytelling.

"Kim Schraub is one of the most talented creatives I've had the privilege of working with," said Jens Grede, Skims CEO and co-founder. "She has an extraordinary ability to translate the essence of SKIMS into something you can see and feel. Elevating her into the chief brand officer role is the natural evolution of the creative leadership she has always provided."

In tandem with Schraub’s promotion, the brand has hired Erin Magee as its new chief design officer. Magee most recently served as the chief creative officer at streetwear brand Supreme, leading creative vision, design, product development and product strategy across apparel, accessories, collaborations and special projects.

She spent more than two decades with the brand. In addition to her tenure at Supreme, Magee founded female-focused apparel brand MadeMe in 2007.

"Erin brings an unparalleled creative vision and a proven ability to build brands that transcend fashion and become cultural touchstones," said Grede. "Her eye for design, her deep understanding of product and her instinct for what resonates make her exactly the right person to lead Skims into its next era. We're incredibly excited to welcome her to the team."

The appointments come amid ongoing brick-and-mortar expansion efforts for the brand. Earlier this year, a Skims spokesperson told Chain Store Age that the brand will have a total of 55 stores by the end of this year, with plans to have more than 100 by the end of 2027.
