Skims has promoted a longtime Kim Kardashian business partner to its C-suite as it continues to grow its network of stores.

The shapewear and intimates brand co-founded by the TV superstar and entrepreneur has named Tracy Nguyen as its new chief communications officer. In the expanded role, Nguyen, who joined the brand in 2024 as executive VP of communications and entertainment, will continue to lead global communications for the company while taking on broader oversight of entertainment, sports and brand partnerships.

Skims says Nguyen has been a “driving force” behind the brand’s global communications strategy and cultural relevance. Most notably, she was key in leading the partnership between Skims and Nike (NikeSkims), and was appointed co-general manager of the venture in 2025. Prior to Skims, Nguyen had served as chief brand officer for Kardashian’s KKW Brands since 2017.

The move comes as the brand expands at home and abroad. Last week, Skims made its debut in the United Kingdom with a flagship store in London on Regent Street, while also opening its second location in the United Arab Emirates. Skims also recently announced the launch of the brand in India, where its first stores are planned for Delhi and Mumbai.

A spokesperson told Chain Store Age that the brand will have a total of 55 stores by the end of this year, with plans to have more than 100 by the end of 2027.

“Tracy has proven time and again that she has one of the sharpest instincts in the industry,” said Jens Grede, Skims CEO and co-founder. “Expanding her role to give her broader oversight across Skims’' global communications, entertainment, sports, and brand partnerships feels like the most natural next step. We're excited to see the incredible ways she'll continue to help us grow."

Prior to joining Kardashian’s business ventures, Ngueyn co-founded Industry Public Relations in 2007, which she led for over a decade. She has held leadership roles at People’s Revolution, 5W Public Relations, and Sunshine Sachs, with a client roster that included giants in fashion and entertainment such as Adidas, MTV, Universal Pictures and more.

"From her time as a trusted advisor across my entire brand portfolio — when Skims was just an idea — to joining Skims in a formal executive capacity more than two years ago, Tracy has been an incredible partner and leader,” said Kardashian, who serves as the brand’s chief creative officer. “She understands the brand at its core – how to protect it, grow it, and put it in front of the right audiences at the right moments. This well-deserved promotion reflects the trust that Jens and I have in Tracy's strategic and creative thinking."

Founded in 2019, Skims has over 25 stores worldwide. Its products can also be found in select department stores including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s.
