Shopify has dropped anchor in Manhattan.

The e-commerce platform has opened Shopify New York, a two-story, 8,000-sq-ft. space in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood that is designed to serve as a place where existing and budding entrepreneurs will have the ability to attend workshops and events, get one-to-one support, book podcast and photography studio space, and sell in its pop-up shop.

The space includes a podcast studio with professional-grade audio- and video-recording equipment that merchants can use to help grow their business, and a photography studio with professional equipment ideal for taking product shots. Shopify New York will also bring in experts to offer free, 30-minute one-on-one sessions for business founders and their employees.

Other features include a café and a pop-up shop where visitors can buy products from local merchants.

“Much of NYC’s heart and soul comes from its entrepreneurs,” said Harley Finkelstein, president, Shopify. “To keep NYC as one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the world, we’re giving New Yorkers the resources and tools they need to build successful businesses. If you’re a Shopify merchant, a business owner, or an aspiring entrepreneur trying to make it in NYC, make it to Shopify New York. This space is for you.”
