Scandinavian KFC franchisee integrates operations with cloud POS

KFC franchise stores in Sweden and Denmark have a cloud-based POS.

Nordic Service Partners, which operates KFC franchise stores in Sweden and Denmark, is unifying inventory and sales data.

The retailer, which operates 19 KFC franchise locations in Sweden and Denmark (KFC is a banner of Yum! Brands), is using the Oracle Simphony Cloud POS platform in an effort to support rapid growth by expanding digital ordering and delivery channels and enhancing reporting across channels.

Leveraging the Oracle Simphony platform as a single integrated platform for its operations and data, Nordic Service Partners (NSP) intends to obtain information it needs to make business decisions faster while simplifying workflows for both its front-and back-of-the-house employees.

In addition to its new cloud-based POS platform, NSP has also equipped its KFC stores with Oracle Workstation 6 POS terminals and kitchen display systems in an initiative to modernize operations and provide consistent, reliable technology for staff.

Utilizing the library of validated restaurant integrations on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, NSP has also integrated new online delivery channels and plans to expand customer-facing ordering options to include kiosks and counter service orders.

"Oracle helped us reduce the technical barriers to business growth by unifying our inventory and sales data across our restaurant portfolio into a single dashboard," said Patrik Eliasson, head of IT, NSP. "Together with the advanced analytics and reporting in the system, we can easily track the most popular items down to each location and ordering channel. This enables us to be able to better plan for inventory and staffing based on buying projections so our customers have a great experience no matter how, when, or where they order."

"Customers today expect a modern, fast dining experience whether they are ordering in person or online," said Simon de Montfort Walker, executive VP and GM of Oracle Food and Beverage. "With Oracle, NSP has given its kitchen and front-of-house staff the technology and tools needed to do their jobs more efficiently with real-time insights into their sales channel performance, so they can continually refine how the company does business to better service customers and the bottom line."

Nordic Service Partners Holding AB (NSP) was founded in 2004 and is today one of Sweden's larger restaurant companies with a focus on quick service restaurants. NSP's operations include around 80 restaurants in Sweden and Denmark.

Yum! Brands and its subsidiaries franchise or operate a system of over 57,000 restaurants in more than 155 countries and territories under the company’s banners of KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and the Habit Burger Grill.

There are more than 29,000 KFC restaurants in nearly 150 countries and territories around the world.
