Stores using the platform saw improvements across key metrics, including higher unit sell-through, larger basket sizes and stronger sales yields, according to the company.
“At Savers Value Village, our goal is simple: to help customers discover great finds at compelling value,” said CEO Mark Walsh. “ThriftIQ reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the thrift experience. By pairing decades of secondhand expertise with innovative technology, we're building on what shoppers love most about thrifting – finding everyday essentials, unexpected treasures, and exceptional deals with every visit.”
The retailer says ThriftIQ represents the latest milestone in the company’s broader operational transformation strategy, which includes centralized processing centers, automated book processing, enhanced point-of-sale systems, self-checkout kiosks and AI-enabled facility management technologies.
Savers Value Village plans to continue to deploy the platform across its U.S. and Canadian locations through early 2028.
“It’s a powerful example of how we are using innovation to strengthen what makes thrift shopping special while supporting long-term growth across our business,” added Walsh.
