An increasing number of stadiums and arenas across major sports leagues are embracing technology that removes friction from the process of buying concessions. For example, Nissan Stadium in Nashville, which serves as the home field for the Tennessee Titans NFL pro football franchise, has rolled out the AiFi spatial intelligence platform.
Running on the Verizon 5G network, the camera-led solution tracks people and objects through space to enable autonomous checkout, as well as safety and compliance, consumer behavior analysis, dwell time reports, and out-of-stock notifications.

In another recent example, in April 2024, Mercedes Benz Stadium, home field for both the Atlanta Falcons pro football franchise and pro soccer team Atlanta United FC, began operating a frictionless store called the Michelob Ultra Grill in partnership with GS Draft System Solutions.
