Ross details 2025 store expansion
Ross Stores Inc. is continuing its rapid pace of expansion in 2025.
The off-price retailer opened 16 Ross Dress for Less and three DD’s Discounts stores in 14 different states in March. These new locations are part of the company's plans to add approximately 90 new stores, comprised of about 80 Ross and 10 DD’s Discounts, during fiscal 2025.
The new stores include Ross Dress for Less locations in the retailer’s newer markets of Connecticut, Minnesota, New Jersey and New York. The company primarily focused DD’s Discounts growth in the existing markets of California, Georgia and Texas.
Ross Stores now operates a total of 2,205 Ross Dress for Less and DD’s Discounts locations across 44 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam.
"This spring, we continued to expand the store base of both Ross and DD's," said Richard Lietz, executive VP, property development. "As we look out over the long term, we remain confident that Ross can grow to 2,900 locations and DD’s Discounts can become a chain of 700 stores given consumers' ongoing focus on value and convenience."
