RetailROI
Retail ROI Super Saturday returns Jan. 11, 2025.

RetailROI is hosting its annual Super Saturday event the day before NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show officially kicks off.

Celebrating its 16th year, RetailROI is once again bringing together industry thinkers and experts for in-depth discussions on retail technology. Registration for the Super Saturday event, hosted by the Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI), is free for retailers with funds coming via vendor sponsorships.

RetailROI is a grassroots charitable organization made up of people in the retail industry who use their skillsets, networks, and funding to raise awareness and provide assistance for more than 400 million vulnerable children worldwide, including 143 million global orphans as well as foster children. All of RetailROI’s funds come via vendor sponsorships.

The event starts with a breakfast networking session at 7:30 a.m. at the 11 Times Square Building in New York City and runs until 2:15 p.m. Session topics include a review of the IHL Group 2025 retail technology trends study, the state of retail AI readiness, the story of Alexis Russell jewelry, and navigating organizational change and leadership.

There will also be sessions explaining RetailROI and some of its charitable initiatives. In addition, the youth/young adults track is returning for 2025. Attendees can have their high school juniors and seniors or college age children attend SuperSaturday for free (space limited) to be taught leadership and workforce training from industry experts and join in on the charity sessions.

Cost of Social Worker Turnover calculator gains traction

In July 2024, RetailROI launched a Cost of Social Worker Turnover calculator it developed with Avanade, a leading Microsoft solutions provider.

The free web-based tool is designed to address high turnover among child welfare workers by helping states, agencies and legislators accurately quantify the short- and long-term financial impacts of pervasive child welfare worker turnover, while also advocating for initiatives to reduce it.

The Cost of Social Worker Turnover calculator is available for free and can be accessed here. It is intended for use by states, agencies, legislators, news organizations, and other interested parties.
