The RealReal adds to store footprint — here where

Luxury goods
The RealReal stores feature an evolving assortment of authenticated luxury items across women's and men's fashion, handbags, fine jewelry, watches and accessories.

With resale booming, The RealReal is expanding in brick and mortar in existing as well as new markets.

The luxury consignment retailer will open its first store in Massachusetts on Oct.15, at The Street Chestnut Hill. Located in the Boston suburb of Chestnut Hill, the 1,800-sq.-ft. store combines The RealReal's authentication expertise with personalized consignment services and a curated shopping experience. With its opening, the company will operate 20 stores nationwide.

In addition, the company has expanded its presence in the Los Angeles area with the opening of a store in Glendale. In August, The RealReal relocated its store in West Palm Beach, Fla., from its longtime location to a larger, more modern space.

The RealReal is expanding as consumers are increasingly turning to resale not simply as an alternative to buying new luxury, but as a destination in its own right. The company’s 2026 Resale Report found that demand for vintage has increased 432% since 2020.

"Physical retail brings the circular luxury experience to life in a way that's incredibly powerful," said Samantha McCandless, chief merchandising officer of The RealReal. "You can walk in wearing something you bought years ago, learn what it's worth today, consign it with us and discover the next piece you love. Increasingly, consumers don't think of resale as a separate category, they're simply shopping luxury, and resale is increasingly the first place they look."
