  • Whole Foods Market set to open new San Francisco store

    EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Whole Food Market will open its seventh San Francisco location — and 31st in the Bay Area — on Nov. 6. The store is the company’s 31st in the Bay Area.

    “We’ll have all our regular healthy and über-local food options, plus some cool new services like a shoeshine station, fresh cut-to-order honeycomb, a Paleo bar, an oyster shuck pop-up and a coffee bar close to the entrance, so it’s easy to grab a cup while you’re waiting for the bus,” said Paula Richmond, store team leader.

  • Bottom Dollar Food opens two Philly stores Oct. 31

    Salisbury, N.C. -- Bottom Dollar Food will open two new stores on Thursday, Oct. 31, one in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, and one in Ambler, Pa., bringing the market total for the discount grocery chain to 43 stores.

    The two new stores add approximately 100 jobs to the greater Philadelphia economy. With the addition of the two new locations, Bottom Dollar Food now operates 62 stores in New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Each store is approximately 18,000 sq. ft.

  • Nordstrom Rack announces second location in Brooklyn, N.Y.

    Seattle -- Nordstrom announced that it plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Gateway Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The approximately 33,000-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in fall 2014. Gateway Center is owned and managed by Related Companies.  

    When it opens, the Gateway Center Nordstrom Rack will be the company's second Brooklyn location. The first Brooklyn Rack is set to open on Fulton Street in spring 2014.

  • Little Caesars Pizza to Tucson’s Northgate Plaza

    Tucson, Ariz. — Little Caesar Enterprises has signed a 1,494-sq.-ft. lease in Northgate Plaza in Tucson, Ariz. Expected to open in the first quarter of 2014, it will be Little Caesars Pizza’s sixteenth store in Tucson.

    Commercial Retail Advisors represented the landlord, TNP SRT Portfolio I, and Retail Advisors Southwest represented Little Caesar Enterprises.

  • Nursery Acres acquires Cabela’s in Grand Junction, Colo.

    Denver — Transwestern’s Denver office has announced that it brokered the acquisition by Nursery Acres L.P. of a 75,330-sq.-ft. Cabela’s retail store in Grand Junction, Colo. Built in 1983, the store sits on a 6.76-acre lot at Mesa Mall.

    Transwestern represented the buyer, Nursery Acres, which purchased the building to complete a 1031 exchange. The company plans to keep the property long-term. Faris Lee represented the seller, Macerich Mesa Mall Holdings LLC.

     

  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans nine new stores in Reno

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with new franchise group, HT2 Franchising, LLC, to develop nine new restaurants throughout Reno, Nev. The first restaurant is expected to open in 2015 and the remainder by 2020.

    With this agreement, Dunkin' Donuts franchise opportunities are sold out in Reno, but opportunities exist to grow the brand throughout the West in Colorado and California.

  • Cullinan appoints new property manager

    Peoria, Ill. — Cullinan Properties has appointed Robey R. Taylor as property manager at the Streets of St. Charles in St. Charles, Mo.

    Taylor brings 20 years of experience in property management — both in retail and office — in the St. Louis market to the post.

  • Unleashed by Petco opens in Queens, N.Y., Nov. 9

    San Diego -- Unleashed by Petco, specialty pet supply banner of the Petco Animal Supply. Inc. chain, opens a new store in the Fresh Meadows section of Queens, N.Y., on Nov. 9.

    Unleashed by Petco stores include features such as the Pet Deli, which offers a display of assorted fresh and frozen food. There is also a special sample wall where pets can taste test to find their favorite food.
