  • Yogurtland launches New Jersey rollout

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Real Estate, L.P. announced that Yogurtland has signed two leases in New Jersey to kick off its store roll-out program.

    The 120-unit yogurt chain will open a 1,300-sq.-ft. store at The Shoppes at Union Hill in Denville, N.J., and a 1,200-sq.-ft. store at Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, N.J.

    The stores are expected to open in late spring/early summer.

  • Wal-Mart details plans for six new Chicago stores

    Chicago -- Walmart has announced two additional store openings for Chicago, bringing the total number of stores it plans to open in the Windy City by 2013 to six.

    The new stores will create close to 1,000 new jobs and nearly 200 construction jobs putting Walmart on the path to meeting the goals outlined in its "Chicago Community Investment Partnership."

    Chicago Mayor Richard Daley said the stores will bring fresh food and groceries to some of the city's most underserved neighborhoods.

  • Nordstrom to build new store at The Americana at Brand

    Glendale, Calif. -- Nordstrom and Caruso Affiliated jointly announced today an agreement to relocate the Nordstrom full-line store and build a new store at Caruso Affiliated's The Americana at Brand in downtown Glendale, Calif.

    The new three-level, 135,000-sq.-ft. is expected to open in fall 2013 and will be part of the expansion of The Americana at Brand. Nordstrom will continue serving customers at its current Glendale Galleria store, located next to The Americana at Brand, until the new store opens.

  • Sport Clips signs five Philadelphia region leases

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Real Estate, L.P., announced that Sports Clips has signed five new leases in the Philadelphia region as part of its store roll-out campaign.

    In December, Sports Clips’ first area store opened at Park East Plaza in Cherry Hill, N.J. It will be followed by store openings at the Nassau Pavilion in Princeton, N.J., The Shoppes at English Village in North Wales, Pa., Providence Town Center in Collegeville, Pa., and at the Marketplace at Neshaminy, in Bensalem, Pa., in 2011. 

  • Pine Tree Commercial Realty names exec

    Northbrook, Ill. -- Pine Tree Commercial Realty said that it has appointed Thomas Seurynck as VP acquisitions and due diligence.

    Seurynck was previously a senior investment associate and credit/underwriting manager for Wrightwood Capital in Illinois.
     

  • Michaels, chiropractor to open at Richmond Centre

    Richmond, Ky. -- Charlotte, N.C.-based Crosland LLC announced two new lease signings with Michaels and Chiro One at Richmond Centre, a regional shopping, entertainment and hospitality venue in Richmond, Ky.

    Michaels will open a 20,011-sq.-ft. store as a junior anchor tenant in October.

    Chiro One opened a 2,127-sq.-ft. clinic in February.

  • Woolbright names property manager

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Woolbright Development announced that James R. Hurlock, Jr. has been named the property manager for its Palm Beach County properties.

    Hurlock will be the liaison between the company and tenants and will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the shopping centers. He was previously was the director of property management for American Commercial Realty in West Palm Beach.

  • Stone Market makes U.S. retail debut

    Hollywood, Calif. -- International gem designer, manufacturer and retailer, Stone Market has opened its first U.S. location, at Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood, Calif.

    The 319-sq.-ft. shop offers a collection of stylish jewelry, featuring gem and natural stones and silver accessories. Stone Market operates more than 100 retail outlets in Japan.
