  • Sunrise MarketPlace teams with Mallfinder to launch new website

    Citrus Heights, Calif. -- Sunrise MarketPlace said Tuesday it has partnered with Mallfinder to launch a redesigned website promoting more than 400 merchants and services in the Citrus Heights, Calif., business improvement district (BID).

    The new site, shopSMP.com, is intended to establish the online presence of Sunrise MarketPlace as a premier shopping destination for the Sacramento metro area. A comprehensive gallery features pages for each merchant to provide up-to-date information for shopping, dining, entertainment and services.

  • Muska Milano to open on Madison Avenue

    New York City -- Prudential Douglas Eilliman’s Retail Group announced that in less than two weeks after arranging the sale of a multi-level retail condominium at 1086 Madison Avenue, the retail sales and leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive VP, have leased the boutique space to luxury handbag and accessories importer Muska Milano. 

  • Georgetown Co. acquires Old Navy Chicago flagship building for $23 million

    New York City -- Robert K. Futterman & Associates said that it represented buyer The Georgetown Co. in the acquisition of 35 North State Street, a 60,000-sq.-ft. building in Chicago, for $23 million.

    The building is currently net-leased to Old Navy and serves as the retailers’ Chicago flagship. 

  • Trademark Property acquires department store

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property Co. said Tuesday it acquired a vacant 67,000-sq.-ft. department store space formerly occupied by Mervyn’s in its Santa Fe Place mall located in Santa Fe, N.M.

    The 571,238-sq.-ft. Santa Fe Place was acquired in the summer of 2010. Trademark is directing the remerchandising and redevelopment of the property, which is Northern New Mexico’s only regional mall, for its private equity partner.

  • LaVida Massage opens at Hills shopping center

    Austin, Texas -- Commerce, Mich.-based LaVida Massage announced the opening of its first Texas location, in Austin, on Feb. 28.

    Located at the Hills shopping center, the 2,600-sq.-ft. facility features nine massage rooms.

  • The Snooty Fox to open at Hyde Park Plaza

    Cincinnati -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Cincinnati, at Hyde Park Plaza to The Snooty Fox.

    An upscale consignment shop, The Snooty Fox has leased 5,000 sq. ft., bringing the center to 96% leased. It is slated to open for business this summer.

    The 396,861-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by a 99,675-sq.-ft. Kroger and a 69,592-sq.-ft. Biggs alongside national retailers such as Michaels, Massage Envy, Panera Bread, Starbucks and Staples.

  • Wilder Cos. announces hirings, promotions

    Boston -- The Wilder Cos. announced several new hires, including Howard A. West II, who joins the company as asset manager to assist in monitoring various properties’ financial and operating performance, act as a liaison to ownership groups on management and reporting issues, provide assistance on property acquisitions, and oversee daily operations for various shopping centers throughout the portfolio. 

  • Two new leases signed at Greenwood Springs shopping center

    Greenwood Springs, Ind. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Greenwood Springs, Ind., to two new tenants at Greenwood Springs shopping center.

    Cannoli Queen has leased 1,400 sq. ft. of restaurant space and Superior Discount Liquors has leased 2,800 sq. ft. of retail space. The businesses are slated to open in the spring.

    The 292,827-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Walmart and Gander Mountain alongside national retailers such as Sport Clips and Buffalo Wild Wings.
