Santa to take flight at 12 Taubman malls

11/3/2016

Taubman is taking the Santa experience to a higher level — literally — at 12 malls this holiday season.

On Nov. 11, the mall owner and manager will debut “Santa’s Flight Academy,” where kids will be able to register as members of the jolly old elf’s flight crew, help Sleigh Mechanic George or Reindeer Caretaker Flash prepare for liftoff and engage in what Taubman is describing as an “immersive holiday experience.”

“The holidays are a time for creating special memories, and we are confident children will be delighted with this new adventure and the encounter will become a tradition for years to come,” said COO William Taubman.

Kids will don virtual flight suits for the adventure and afterwards be ushered into a 22-ft.-tall sleigh for an “enchanted snowfall dance party.” They’ll leave with a thank-you gift from Santa for helping him save the day. Taubman expects the attraction to be so popular that they are asking parents to pre-register.
