1/11/2019
San Francisco brokerage DeRose & Appelbaum have added real estate veterans Pam Mendelsohn and Sarah Brett Schwartz as partners, and have rebranded as Maven as it continues to expand its retail business.

Mendelsohn and Brett Schwartz come to Maven by way of Cushman & Wakefield, where they helped transform neighborhood shopping districts in San Francisco through deals with fashion brands and top-flight restaurants.

DeRose & Appelbaum worked on deals with Mendelsohn and Schwartz in the past, including Shinola/Filson, Jane, Bandcamp (Oakland), and Kantine.

“Pam and Sarah’s deep expertise equips our clients with an unrivaled, innovative team to fill their vacant space,” said Santino DeRose, co-founder of the firm. “Maven is committed to heavy investment in marketing and technology.”

Maven’s focus is on leasing of commercial and mixed-use properties, as well as sales and acquisitions of multi-family and commercial properties in the Bay Area.
