Peet’s Coffee begins phased store reopening plan

A national coffee chain has reopened 17 locations throughout California, Washington D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington.

These openings are part of a phased approach, with locations operating in a limited access model. Peet’s has implemented enhanced protocols for store cleaning and sanitation. Additionally, employees are required to wear face coverings while working, with symptom checks being conducted at the beginning of each shift.

With limited access operations in effect, customers can order and pick up their coffee to-go, or place an order using mobile order ahead in the Peet’s app. Through the app, Peet’s customers can find beverages and breakfast food items, with all locations also offering whole and ground coffee beans for home brewing. Peet’s has also enabled delivery through a partnership with DoorDash.

Peet’s says it is continuing to evaluate existing conditions and evolve operations accordingly with the well-being of customers and communities in mind.
