  • Target names Gilt exec as VP of integration

    Minneapolis - Peter Glusker has joined Target as senior VP, new business integration and operations, effective May 19. In this role, Glusker will lead the integration of new acquisitions into Target and develop strategies that ensure a consistent and great guest experience.

  • Papa John’s names global operations VP as COO

    Indianapolis - Papa John’s International Inc. has promoted senior VP of global operations Steve Ritchie to the position of COO. In addition, the company’s founder, chairman and CEO John Schnatter, will assume the additional role of president, continuing to focus on all aspects of the company’s business while also acting as brand spokesperson.

  • PetSmart opens pop-up dog park in Detroit

    Phoenix -- PetSmart has partnered with the City of Detroit and the non-profit community organization Detroit Dog Park to open a portable, pop-up dog park to a vacant lot in Detroit.

  • Global Facility Management names two new managers

    Melville, N.Y. - Global Facility Management & Construction is naming two new members of its management team. Bruce Wollmuth has been named construction manager, leading a team of construction project managers.

  • Chute Gerdeman promotes four as it names new creative director

    Columbus, Ohio -- Chute Gerdeman has announced four team member promotions, including the appointment of Mary Lynn Waite, formerly senior designer, brand communications, to creative director.

    In other promotions:

    • Steve Boreman, previously senior designer, brand communications, has been named design director, brand communications.  

    • Kevin Worden has been promoted to director of digital integration, information technology.  

  • Retailers launch Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center

    Arlington, Va. - The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), along with several retail brands, has launched the Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC), the centerpiece of which is a Retail Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Retail-ISAC).

  • Report: EBay targets Latin America

    San Jose, Calif. – EBay Inc. is reportedly targeting customers in 19 Latin American countries with tailored Spanish- and Portuguese-language e-commerce sites. According to Bloomberg, the sites will conduct transactions in local currencies and serve customers in countries including Mexico and Brazil.

  • Kohl's, Toshiba partner with Plug and Play in retail accelerator program

    New York -- Kohl’s Department Stores and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions have teamed up with Plug and Play to participate in Plug and Play Retail, an accelerator program that is focused on technologies and teams innovating in the retail industry. (Based in Sunnyvale, California, Plug and Play is a business accelerator that specializes in growing tech startups.)
