Nothing Bundt Cakes adds Yum! Brands leader to C-suite

Wanda Williams has joined Nothing Bundt Cakes as chief operations officer.

A restaurant industry veteran is joining Nothing Bundt Cakes’ C-suite.

Wanda Williams has joined the specialty dessert chain as chief operations officer. In the role, she will oversee operations, team development and communications for more than 600 bakeries operating throughout the United States and Canada.

Williams joins Nothing Bundt Cakes from Yum! Brands, where she served as head of global franchising since November 2020. In that role, she led overall franchise system management and franchisee relations across four major brands, working with over 1,500 franchisees.

Williams’ appointment comes as Nothing Bundt Cakes is planning aggressive growth, aiming to open its 1,000th location by 2027. 

"Nothing Bundt Cakes has doubled in size over the past five years, and Wanda is a proven leader who will help seamlessly manage operations and franchise success for our continually growing system," said Nothing Bundt Cakes CEO Dolf Berle, who joined the company last summer. "Her expertise in franchisee relations, strategic operations and sustainable innovation will be invaluable as we continue to expand our brand and support our bakery owners."

Prior to working at Yum! Brands, Williams was VP of operations at Pizza Hut, responsible for enhancing the restaurant and delivery experience through technology and contactless operating procedures. Before entering the restaurant industry, she spent nearly nine years as the senior director of business development and sales at Waste Management.
