Northeast fast-casual chain adds cloud to store operations recipe
Hale & Hearty Soups is streamlining and centralizing store management and analytics with a new cloud-based POS system.
Operating 20 locations in New York City, Long Island, and Boston, Hale & Hearty is rolling out the Appetize Technologies enterprise commerce platform chainwide. Following a successful October pilot at its Herald Square location in Manhattan, Hale & Hearty has systematically implemented Appetize’s advanced cloud technology at over half its restaurants and will continue a full deployment that concludes at the end of January 2021.
All Hale & Hearty restaurants will utilize Appetize POS software, based on its Activate cloud solution. The Appetize platform includes an intuitive, zero-training terminal interface designed for ease of use, speed of service, and increased productivity. Management and staff also have access to Appetize Connect Enterprise, a web-based management portal designed to power multi-site operations and provide a real-time management and reporting tool.
Leveraging Appetize’s open API, Hale & Hearty also built a set of best-in-class partnerships, including NetSuite for inventory and ERP management; LevelUp for a branded app and loyalty experience; and the Givex platform for gift cards. Appetize also integrated with two new partners to improve staff and customer experiences at all locations: 7shifts labor management platform for scheduling, communication and time and attendance, and the ItsACheckmate platform for online ordering and delivery integration and menu management.
