Nordstrom adds 2028 location to 2026/2027 new store lineup — here is the list
Nordstrom Rack will open approximately 21 stores this year.
Nordstrom continues to grow the footprint of its off-price retail division.
The department store retailer plans to open a Nordstrom Rack in Rehoboth Beach, Del., in spring 2028. The 25,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in Atlantic Fields, which is owned and managed by a partnership of Southside Investment Partners and Buchanan Partners. Nordstrom currently operates one full-price store and one Nordstrom Rack store in Delaware.
Nordstrom, which in May closed on its deal to go private, is on track to open 21 Nordstrom Rack stores this year. It expects to open roughly the same amount in 2026.
The 2026 locations include the following.
- Knoxville, Tenn.: The 30,000-sq.-ft. store will be located at Pinnacle Turkey Creek, which leased and managed by Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors
- Sarasota Fla. The 27,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in Sarasota Pavilion, which owned and managed by InvenTrust Properties
- Deptford, N.J.: The 24,500-sq.-ft. store will be located at Deptford Town Center, which is is owned and managed by MSP Developments.
- Mansfield, Mass.: The 23,700-sq.-ft. store will be located at Mansfield Crossing, which is owned and managed by WS Development.

- Williamsburg, Va.: The 25,000-sq.-ft. store will be located at Settlers Market.
- Canton, Ohio: The 23,800-sq.-ft. store will be located at The Venue at Belden, which is owned by Axiom Realty.
- Tampa, Fla.: The 24,700-sq.-ft. store will be located at The Plaza at Citrus Park, owned and operated by an affiliate of Kimco Realty.
- Elmwood, La.: The 27,000-sq.-ft. will be located at Elmwood Center, Louisiana's largest open air shopping center, which is owned and managed by Lauricella Land Company.
- Encinitas, Calif.: The 24,000-sq.-ft. store will be located at El Camino Promenade, owned and operated by an affiliate of Kimco Realty.
- Plymouth, Mass.: The 27,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in Colony Place, owned and managed by DLC.
2027 Openings
A handful of Nordstrom Rack openings have been announced for 2027, including the following.
- Good year, Ariz. The 25,000-sq.-ft. store will be located at GSQ, a new 150-acre mixed-used development that is owned and managed by RED Development and Globe Corporation.
- St. George, Utah: The 24,000-sq.-ft. will be located at The Paseo, a brand-new shopping destination anchored by a Larry H. Miller Megaplex Family Entertainment Center. The Paseo is being designed, constructed and brought to life by Elevated Property Company.
