  • Nursing essentials collection debuts at Walmart

    CLEVELAND — Walmart has launched an exclusive line of nursing bras and related essentials catering to expectant and nursing mothers manufactured by Leading Lady, a Cleveland-based nursing bra and niche-intimate apparel company.

    With the Loving Moments collection, Leading Lady aimed to fuse current fashion trends with nursing bra technology. The collection features stretch lace, supportive camis, sleep and leisure bras, as well as seamless everyday bras. 

  • Foot traffic, sales trends bolster Five Below’s Q1

    PHILADELPHIA — Teen discounter Five Below increased its first quarter profit forecast as sales for the period increased 33% to $95.6 million and same store sales advanced 4.2%.

  • Deckers Outdoor teams with GT Nexus on supply chain solution

    Oakland, Calif. -- Global footwear brand Deckers Outdoor Corp. announced it is using the GT Nexus cloud-based supply chain platform to improve supply chain collaboration and visibility.

    The parent to the Ugg Australia and Teva labels said the platform will replace EDI and point solutions with a multi-enterprise network solution connecting external supply chain partners to Deckers’ ERP system and providing real-time performance updates.

    ELIZABETH, N.J. — Century 21 is opening a new concept store at the Outlet Collection Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, N.J. The retailer hopes a smaller footprint will offer shoppers an “elevated shopping experience” with a highly edited assortment of fashion and accessories for men and women.

  • New York City second to Hong Kong in world’s highest retail rents

    Los Angeles -- CBRE Group released research findings on Tuesday that showed Hong Kong’s continued top position as the world’s most expensive global retail market, recording prime rents nearly 150% higher than New York City.

    London ranked third, with prime rental rates 400% lower than Hong Kong’s.

    The multi-faceted program will focus on elevating visibility around Sport Chalet’s in-house health and fitness experts, heightening regional awareness through interactive events and custom programs, in addition to connecting with consumers, and positioning the brand as the go-to resource for education, training and gear in the vast sports arena. 

  • Ann Taylor debuts collection by Kate Hudson

    NEW YORK — Ann Taylor has partnered with celebrity Kate Hudson on an exclusive collection set to debut in Ann Taylor stores next week.

    To mark the launch of the limited-edition collection, the retailer will host a White Party at Ann Taylor stores nationwide from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, where guests will be invited to shop the collection. 

    The first clients to purchase a piece from the capsule collection during the in-store event will receive an Ann Taylor gift card, courtesy of InStyle.
